Our standard check-in time is 4:00PM and check-out is 10:00AM. This allows our professional cleaning crew to get the property sparkling 🫧 clean 🧼! Early check-in and late check-out is often available. However, during the busier summer months we may not be able to grant it due to a same-day turnover. We appreciate you understanding!

For groceries, there is a wonderful Festival Foods in Mauston about 10 mins away. They have an extraordinary selection, and even have delivery available via Instacart. There is also delivery available from the local Wal-Mart. We pride ourselves on providing a well-equipped kitchen with a variety of pots, pans, basic spices, and even a pizzaz pizza oven!

Of course! We just kindly ask all smoking is done OUTDOORS and away from the property. Just as a heads-up, we have deployed recreational smoke detectors that will detect, alert, and document any violations. Please help us keep the space enjoyable for all.

Sunset Lake is a quaint spring-fed lake perfect for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. The lake is clear, warm in the summer, and weed-free. Motorized craft are not allowed on Sunset Lake, however Castle Rock Lake is just down the road a couple miles and is over 17,000 acres and is great for boating, fishing, etc.

A LOT! For families, our properties are a quick and easy 30 minute drive via the interstate to the Wisconsin Dells area. The WI Dells is known as the "Water Park Capital of the World," and has enough entertainment options for all ages. Check out https://www.wisdells.com/ to plan your activities. A couple miles down the road is Castle Rock Lake -- one of Wisconsin's largest recreational lakes. Bring your own boat and use one of the public launch spots, or rent a pontoon for the day! For adults, there are many uniquely Wisconsin-based breweries, wineries, and distilleries within driving distance. Just ask us for a list! For nature lovers, there are multiple state parks nearby. Our favorite is Devil's Lake State Park, which is Wisconsin's most popular park. Made from a glacier during the ice age, the park has activities ranging from swimming, kayaking, picnics, and different levels of hiking with breathtaking views.

Yep! Just down the road are a handful of great places right on Castle Rock Lake. The Dirty Turtle has a massive open-air pavilion with live music on the weekends. Pine Cove is known for its famous smash burgers. Enjoy a flatbread and beer at Gravitybox Brewing in Mauston. Travel a little further and you'll unlock dozens of places in the WI Dells. Our favorite spot is Ishnala Supper Club. Situated right on Mirror Lake, Ishnala is located on an old Native American trading post and offers a variety of steaks and entrees. Don't forget to order a world-famous Wisconsin Brandy Old Fashioned!
